We expanded our search and basically looked at all hotels available in Waikiki. After taking a look at some of the hotels and getting banquet information and pricing, I can safely say that there is no "ideal" location for me. Like everything in life, there are pros and cons to be weighed...none were "perfect" or "the one." At the end of the day, Mr. Pug and I are almost totally decided on going with Hale Koa (our original first choice before all of this madness). While I am not totally thrilled with the grounds or the limited menu choices, price ultimately played it's trump card. The lower price tag would allow us to have more friends and family attend, which to us is more important than a fancy site or to-die-for food (though I still wish I could have it all...*sigh*). We will be booking a date later this week...then the real (fun) planning can begin!
Did you find your dream venue? Or did you end up going with the best that was available?

Hair and Makeup Inspiration
I'm planning to have my hair in a low up-do with flowers. I'd like something loose, but not too messy or big. I don't want it to look too stiff or too perfect. Here are a few inspiration pictures I found on the knot.

A little too "big"

Bridesmaid Dress Ideas
I'm only planning on having one bridesmaid (my maid of honor), so it makes shopping for a bridesmaid dress a lot easier. I'll probably have her choose something she likes, but right now I'm trying to get ideas on color and length.
I have no idea what I'm looking for right now, so I'm just collecting pictures of dresses that I like. These dresses are Alfred Angelo, Jim Hjelm, and Watters.
